About Me

I start and run technology companies, including ChiliSoft (acquired by Cobalt network/Sun), and Mission Research, makers of GiftWorks fundraising software.

More here at LinkedIn.

In May 2011 I founded Startup Lancaster, which has grown to 52 founders of technology product startups from the Lancaster, PA area.

Currently I'm developing something around search and connections across communities, advising companies, and working on community gardens.

Why I Blog

Writing helps me clarify my thoughts. Since 1999, I've posted over a thousand times (not all here), which one would hope would lead to clarity. Sometimes it does.

Sharing those thoughts also might help others formulate their opinions, solve a problem, or learn something from my mistakes and successes.

Sometimes the best stuff is in the comments, not the post itself, and I'm the one who's learning.
